Randomized Clinical Trial Comparing Oral Dydrogesterone to Micronized Vaginal Progesterone for Endometrial Preparation in Frozen-Thawed Embryo Transfer Cycle

Background: The objective was to compare the use of micronized vaginal progesterone 800 mg daily and oral dydrogesterone 40 in endometrial preparation for frozen-thawed embryo transfer (FET). Methods: Prospective randomized study with women undergoing FET along hormone replacement therapy preparation, between September 2019 February 2021. A total 73 patients were randomly selected orally received mg/day (DYD group, n = 36) or (MVP 37) after transdermal estradiol. main outcome a viable ongoing pregnancy 12 weeks gestation. Biochemical pregnancy, clinical live birth rates secondary outcome. Results: reproductive outcomes cycles similar, Live didrogesterone MVP treatment groups being respectively: Biochemistry (38.9%/37.8%; p 0.189 [95% confidence interval (CI) –23.4–21.2]), Clinical (33.3%/35.1%; 0.192 CI –20.0–23.6]); Weeks Pregnancy (33.3%/32.4%; 0.196 –22.4–20.6]); –22.4–20.6]). Conclusions: revealed similar results cycles. is reasonable option, may be more accepted by terms ease lower cost. Trial Registration: U1111-1247-1845.
